Trains Trains and more Trains

So anyone who knows my son to any degree should know that he is obsessed with trains. His obsession is borderline addiction, and I did not know that a four year could experience addiction.
Well he has multiple toys when I say multiple he is an only child from divorced parents and he lives in grandma and grandpas house, yeah he is spoiled. He has cars, games, leappads, a castle, little people play sets, monsters inc toys, toy story toys, pirate toys, DVDs ok well I think you get the point.

So my point to this blog is that from the time he was 18 months he has had this adoration to trains. He has five different train sets. It doesn't matter which one he is plying with it is just like he just got it and the excitement is there every time. He has to show you the different ways he has built the track, and the cars and engines and the caboose. He knows more about trains than anyone else I know, he knows what a breakdown train looks like and what its for and what the coal car is and the freight cars(ok sadly I had no idea what a freight car was until he explained to me). He has the books and Thomas stuff galore and he knows all there names its scary really.

Well about 4 months ago we were at Hamons toy store and they sell the really expensive train sets that you put together and put the trees and grass and it is really a collectors item. He was in seventh heaven... The guy behind the counter was showing someone this train part out of the catalog they had, Logan was so interested in the details of every page that the employer gave him the catalog. He had me read it to him constantly, well its a catalog much to read but he had fun. Well yesterday he found it and it was just like the guy had just given it to him for the first time. We had to read it over again. It is so funny how he is with this stuff.
My point to this blog is that we should not let the little things go unnoticed and that we should not take for granted the little things we have, make everything we have just as exciting as the first time we got it.
Love you all.

Happy Whatever

The 24th for me was a great an exciting day.
I always forget that people outside of Utah don't get to share in the same fun that we Utahn's do, which is celebrating the 24th of July.

It is mostly celebrated the exact same way that the 4th is celebrated only we admire the fact that pioneers crossed the plains to make it to this specific place and decided to stop and say, "This is the Place." Anyways I always seem to send out text to my friends saying stuff like Merry Christmas, for those of you who are of other faiths, Happy Hanukkah. Well today being the 24th I sent out a text to most of my friends and family, and it read Happy 24th. I got many replies as why I decided to send some random text message... I sat there and wondered why most of my family and a few of my friends were replying in this manner. Wonderful question, well it hit when I tried to call a government run office and realized with the message on their machine that it was a STATEWIDE holiday.

Some of my friends and family are Mormon, and some not so with this in mind I decided to just be cool and say hey I was just making sure you were having a happy 24th because I sure the hell am!!! I left it at that.

Meanwhile, I had done some shopping, got my son out of the bath, into his jammies, and ready for the fireworks. Leaving my cell phone inside and not even thinking about it, I mean after all we were going outside to do pop its and watch cheesy fireworks with our awesome neighbors, (and by the way that awesome is spoken in a Jersey accent). After all the fireworks were done and the excitement had died down it was bed time. Everyone can sleep except for me I finished Harry Potter and was wondering what I should do when it hit me. I don't have my cell, its usually always on me.

I had 15 texts when I finally found where I had placed my phone. Most of them saying how weird i was or still questioning my wishes earlier on today. However I had three people text me saying how much of a shit I was because I always do stupid things and seem to think they are stupid in the process. I just had to look at these and laugh in reply to most of those text did you not read my last blog I had just come out with how much of a nerd I really am and if you don't like it tough. LOL...

Oh and the parade wasn't too bad even though we had already seen the floats in the judgment show yesterday yay!!!

So to all of you out there Happy 24th!!!

WOW WHO KNEW

So have you ever had that feeling that you have come to realize what you are? Well today I have figured out how much of a nerd I really am. I mean I knew I was a nerd but alot of that I was feeding off of other people.

Well today something happened, actually I think it started at about 10:00 pm last night. I went to a Harry Potter Party at Barnes and Nobles to get the book at midnight. It's not just the mere fact that I went to the party or that I was going with one of my friends who could recite the books to you on the spot. It was that I was extremely excited to go to this party!!! As soon as we walked into the door I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning, well that's not a good example because I still feel that way about Christmas. Ok more like when you are little and you get something for the first time and you are so excited about it your little body just cant contain itself. You want to scream and jump for joy. Well when you are a kid you can get away with it, but I did it anyways.

I didn't dress up, although I really wanted to I just didn't have a costume. When we walked in the door I felt right at home with all the other nuts. They gave us Harry Potter glow in the dark glasses and I flirted with a worker there just so that once the hype has died down he will give me his hat. Which he said yes too yay!!! I was walking around and admiring people who dressed up and I even went to the people who had brought a real rat in the store which they had named Scabbers.

Well ten seconds to midnight they did a countdown and as soon as we hit one me and me alone yelled out happy new year, I got quite a few interesting looks, it also would have been nice to be by that cute worker to kiss him after I had said that. Any who I got my book and on our way out the door having my book in hand I yelled out oh no Harry's dead and ran off to the car as quick as I could.

When I got home it was all I could do to stay awake to read the book and right now I am trying to get this done so I can read some more.

Well tonight I went for a drive with a friend and as I am driving and talking extremely fast with no filtration system on whatsoever it struck me right then and there, in the middle of my fries, how much of a nerd I really am and how proud I am to be that way. I feel like singing I am proud to be a nerd all around but to the music of I am proud to be an American.

I am a Nerd not because I want to fit in, definitely the wrong way to go there if I wanted to fit in, not because I want to stand out, not because I had married a nerd and was trained that way, not because my friends are nerds, not to pretend in any way shape or form, but because that is what I want and that is who I am. It has taken me a while to really arrive at this conclusion, that this is who I am this is who I want to be and if anyone wants different I am sorry I am not changing for you, so come off it!!! NERD

Never Sure

So lately has been really weird. I am going to explain to you on how I mean that. Ok
  1. I got bit by a black widow spider it was in my bra I got bit on the boob. Who does that. The bite mark was really creepy a perfect bullseye, with two black marks in the very center.
  2. Cleaned my room and sprayed so my son and I had to sleep upstairs for a week till the spray was no longer dangerous to us. And sharing an air mattress with a 4 year old is no treat...no I loved it.
  3. My eye has been twitching really bad for the last week. I asked why eyes do that and everyone told me it was from anxiety. My response to that is oh great, specific orders from my neurologist says I am supposed to live a stress free life. HA!!!
  4. My medicaid problem, I have had medicaid I thought for the last year apparently they discontinued it when I started my job at Mothers Helper, Because I made TO much money, however I just recently found this out when I went to the pharmacy to pick up perscriptions and the guy there asked if my insurance had changed because they don't have any that is willing to support me anymore. well thats just peachy had to get three seizure medications all costing 180 each...
  5. The other thing I feel like a few of my friends are avoiding me. I am not sure why for some and am hurt because of others.
  6. Last but not least have you ever had that weird feeling as if someone is watching you? Well it is not all the time but I get that every once in a while and it is really annoying. Stop following me my life isn't that exciting it is rather dull and mundane...
Well all of you if you ever Think life is weird thats because it is. Life is best understood Backwards then we can see why we were there and see the reasons for what, why, where, and when.

Moving????

New Jersey

San Diego

Seattle

Okay so I had a discussion with one of my neighbors the other night and was thinking about moving somewhere just to go somewhere new and try and get out of this funk I am in. So I am writting this now because I need some help on where you guys should think I should move too. I know I can't just pack up and leave and in a way it is my way of running away from things because I have never really physically done this but I really want to and I need to. (it probably will not happen but it is one of those things that I would like to do so help please). So my thoughts on where to move to are Seattle, sounds like fun, San Diego, I have family there and it is so beautiful, and Jawdy despite what you think I want to go to Jersey, jay and silent bob, lol.... so yeah what do you think????

My opinion

New Movies
Ok since I am a Huge, let me refrase that HUGE movie fan I am going to let you all know what I think about recen t movies that have come out are out that I have seen...The Good, the Bad, the Ugly

300

Now if you thought I was going to leave this movie out well then you do not know me at all. I loved it ok I loved it. It does not stay entirly true to actual events but they are going for an artsy view of it. The cinematography was amazing, the director amazing, the actors oh wow just hot thinking about them, And Gerard Butler man oh man he beats any man in my book. The only thing I did not care for in this movie were two of the nude scenes, one had a teenage girls nipples which looked like mesquito bites yes they were that small, (come on if you are going to show boobs show good ones). The other nude scen was the weird one at Xerxes house or whatever and there are deformed people and just gross stuff didn't move the story along whatsoever. Loved it.....

PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN AT WORLDS END

Over all I liked the movie, it was a little to long and for some it had a sad ending. I enjoyed the Jack Sparrow humor in it could have used a little more of it. I being the female I am enjoyed it simply for the cuteness in it, namely Orlando Bloom and awww Johnny Depp. I like the graphics can't go wrong there, the only other flaw I saw in the movie was Callipso she really had no story to run with and had no closure or anything to her character.

OCEANS THIRTEEN

Ok not going to lie to you again hot guys.... The Movie was much better than the second probably comes close to the first one for me. Some very sweet moments shows they have more personality and humanity, lol. Al is a great bad guy always has been, loved the twins in this great and I was so hoping for a bigger part for my good ole buddy Eddie Izzard. The stroy was just as confusing as the other two easier to follow than the second. Fun movie not a nessecity to see in the theatres. I give it 3 1
/2 stars lol

KNOCKED UP

Ok so this one was no academy award winning film. It had it's funny moments it's sweet moments and was overall another 40 year old Virgin movie. The characters meshed well and had good chemistry. Going into this movie you must realize that it is all going to be stupid humor and must like that kind it does have it's chick flick moments though. Guys could take a date who doesn't get offended to easily.

SPIDERMAN THREE

I am a comic nerd so I am more partial to these kind of flicks. I liked Peter going emo I thought it was funny I thought he did a good job being cocky. I have never really cared for Kirsten Dunst so she does not take to my fancy as an MJ. I liked how the story flowed I think they got rid of villians to fast and I think they should have taken less time on the Peter-MJ story and gone to the fight scenes. Over all I enjoyed the movie very much so and would recomend it to anyone

SHREK THE THIRD

I was very much so bored as well as the three kids that were with me at the time we went to see it. It was no where near as funny as the first or second. It had its moments but very few and far between. Oh and for the record Justin Timberlake should be seen and not heard... I will give them credit that they still have the same voices for all of the characters. This is one that sad to say I was dissapointed I had to use that matinee money on this movie.

Well I will leave it at that for now keep in touch let me know if there is one I don't post maybe I have seen it or could tell you about it.
