So anyone who knows my son to any degree should know that he is obsessed with trains. His obsession is borderline addiction, and I did not know that a four year could experience addiction.
Well he has multiple toys when I say multiple he is an only child from divorced parents and he lives in grandma and grandpas house, yeah he is spoiled. He has cars, games, leappads, a castle, little people play sets, monsters inc toys, toy story toys, pirate toys, DVDs ok well I think you get the point.
So my point to this blog is that from the time he was 18 months he has had this adoration to trains. He has five different train sets. It doesn't matter which one he is plying with it is just like he just got it and the excitement is there every time. He has to show you the different ways he has built the track, and the cars and engines and the caboose. He knows more about trains than anyone else I know, he knows what a breakdown train looks like and what its for and what the coal car is and the freight cars(ok sadly I had no idea what a freight car was until he explained to me). He has the books and Thomas stuff galore and he knows all there names its scary really.
Well about 4 months ago we were at Hamons toy store and they sell the really expensive train sets that you put together and put the trees and grass and it is really a collectors item. He was in seventh heaven... The guy behind the counter was showing someone this train part out of the catalog they had, Logan was so interested in the details of every page that the employer gave him the catalog. He had me read it to him constantly, well its a catalog much to read but he had fun. Well yesterday he found it and it was just like the guy had just given it to him for the first time. We had to read it over again. It is so funny how he is with this stuff.
My point to this blog is that we should not let the little things go unnoticed and that we should not take for granted the little things we have, make everything we have just as exciting as the first time we got it.
Love you all.
