So this year we got to participate in the Lehi Days Paradde and we evern have a float we got to ride on. This was a very exciting event for all of us because not only did I finally get my armor done and get to wear it for this event but also Logan, Hunter, and Cannon also got to dress. Sadly I did not get a good piture of Cannon the sith but I got the other two. Ed was awesome and help drive the float and take pics.

Lagoon

So thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law Michelle, my family was able to go to Lagoon for her work Lagoon day. Well we went and it was so much fun. The boys had to constantly ride the water rides and we got soaked all day long. Also Logan learned that he is 47 inches tall, and if anyone says he is getting tall or he is big, he will automatically tell them he is 47 inches tall. Logan also got to ride on the Colossus and it was his favorite ride, especially because it had looptey loops. Hunter loved having the huge space to ride his healies.

Us in line for our first ride of the day, The Bat

So as most of you already know I am bald. It has been a very interesting experence being bald.
Number 1
I have no facial hair whatsoever so it makes the eyes all red and very watery. I also wear bandana's around so that I can be cool and not be itchy. So now that you have a little back story, I was driving down a wonderful hill going home from my parents. I love and hate this hill, you see I always seem to speed on this hill and know I shouldn't but I do, and I did. A nice Sandy city police officer was camping on a side street at the bottom of this hill and saw my car going 10 miles over. I was like crap!!!
I pulled over and began digging out my drivers license and my registration when the officer walked up to me and paused for a moment looking at me.
The officer then said " well ma'am you were going ten over the speed limit, I am going to let you off with a warning, please slow it down. " and walk away. So being bald has its advantages.
Number 2
The first time I got into the shower to wash my hair, I grabbed the shampoo bottle and began squirting in my hand while doing this I realized I only need one tenth of that. Fun stuff.
Number 3
I was at the grocerie store and I was about to put my cart away when a man who was parked further away from me took the cart from me and took it inside then walked back to his car afterwards.
So in being bald I have ha some interesting experiences.

The Wig

So over the weekend Logan spent the night over at his cousins house, during that time she decided to do a makeover on Logan (don't worry no make up was used just an interesting looking wig). So when he came out with this wig (well thats what I will call it) he looked like an anime character. It was so funny.

For those of you who were wondering this is what the wig was made of
They popped it or cut it then stuck it on his head.

The Airshow

So we were invited to go with some of our friends up to the airshow at Hill Air Force Base. Which was really neat because it was Logan's first time up there. One of my friends who invited us is a firefighter up there and his wife set up really good spot for us to watch. When we got there we looked at all of the neat planes and helicopters and Logan even got his picture taken with a real fighter pilot, he thought that was really cool. On top of that the day was cloudy so there were not a whole lot of people there and it was not hot, however it did rain really bad for about five minutes and the whole crowd high tailed it under a wing of huge plane. I would so totally suggest this show for anyone next year it was awesome and the pilots did some amazing stunts..especially the Thunderbirds. Logan even said at one point during the show "In all my pop's years I don't think he has ever seen anything this cool". I have to agree.

My friend James and his fellow fireman hard at work at the airshow

Logan in the pilot seat of a helicopter

Three boys one gun hmmm what are we going to do.
Logan said its just like the gun on the Warthog in Halo 3

Nate showing the little boys how to turn the propeller, in turn the boys got in trouble
for doing so.
The kids found a puddle of mud to play in... even with the cool airplanes flying
over head.
Logan and the REAL fighter pilot

The boys are looking into the cargo area of the plane from the cockpit. They
loved this area of the plane.
Ed and Cannon just chillin in the plane staying out of the rain.
Ok now here are some really neat shots Ed got, I only posted a few
because he took like 600 pictures and it was really hard to decide because
they were all so cool.
I love this picture of the three different planes flying together,
just show the progression.

Ok these were awesome, these Thunderbirds put on quiet a show,
I will totally come back it was so cool. As you can see the sky is really
dark and it did rain and hail so they had to postpone part of the
show (thats when we all ran for cover).

Geek

So now everyone else can clearly see I am not the only geek heading this family. Ed and I are a part of a really neat organization called the 501st. For those of you who do not know who we are, I will enlighten you right now. The 501st is a Star Wars fan club, I know what your thinking but if you will listen I will tell you how neat it really is. The members of the 501st make costumes of the bad guys in the movie, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper (this one I am building), Darth Maul, Tie Fighter, ect. anyways we dress up in our costumes and are invited out to events. Most of these events are for kids, like kids safe fairs, or Easter Festivals, or Walks for certain diseases. Most of these events we get to collect money for a charity. We are a nonprofit organiztion and we collect alot of money and kids who come to the events also can get there pictures taken with the characters it is really neat. Anyways here are some of my favorite from saturday.

Its not all play

As Ed would say TK on Holiday
(TK is a stormtooper for all you non nerds)

I just thought this was funny
So for any of you out there either want to join or want a picture come to an event and we are the Alpine Garrison, of the 501st, however there are Garrisons all over the place.
