Cough Syrup and Police officers

So to begin my story I will let you know I did not want to write this yesterday, I was too much of a mess yesterday so it wouldn't have any humor to it that the story indeed has.

Any how this started on Tuesday night late Logan had a really bad cough so Ed being wonderful went to the store at 11 at night. Well Logan was half awake and took his cough syrup.

I was helping Ed with morning reports and what not when Logan asked if he could go over to his friends house. This is normal buisness and his cough had subsided so I figured that would be and ok idea. Now usually I get a call from his friends mom to let me know that he is over there and I had not recieved a call, this is odd for me so after about 30 minutes I decided to call over there. When she answered she told me they had not seen Logan over their at all. Now my heart was pounding, there are not any other kids that he plays with before school. I went to my next door neighbors house to ask if they had seen him, my neighbor then told me about 40 minutes ago Logan had gone over and asked to borrow one of his son's scooters. Now I am thinking great he is out and about in the neighborhood riding on someones scooter.
I ran in told Ed what I knew and we ran around the neighborhood, to the school, to the next street over and to any house we think he might visit, he was nowhere to be found. I was bawling at this point I told Ed I was going to look on the other two streets and he was going to stay at the house incase Logan came home. Just as I rounded the corner three, yes i said three, police cars drove into my neighborhood and in the first one was Logan there in the front seat pointing at my car.
I stopped my car and rushed over to him bawling asking where he had been and then the officer interveened. I was so upset and he was trying to calm me down and talk to me and tell me what he knew. Logan had decided to go to the Good Earth, to get cough syrup because the stuff that Ed bought tasted nasty. Now Logan has enough money to do so and had it with him, and abvously he thinks he is old enough to get it himself. He walked into Good Earth and asked if they had any good tasting kids cough medicine. Well the lady didn't sell it to him let him leave the store and called the police. Then Logan decided he wanted a donut at the Seven 11 right next door and went in there. Now when the police found him in there he was trying to call a cab because he was tired and was going to need a ride home.
Now today I can laugh about the cough syrup but yesterday I was a mess and for all of Logan's friends out there yeah he is grounded for a while sorry!
The rest of the day was very nerv racking, Ed even stayed home from work with me and watched Bride Wars to try and calm me down.

Easter

Easter morning we only had Logan with Hunter and Cannon spent Easter morning with their mom. The Easter Bunnie set out their baskets anyway and Logan was so excited with everything he got. The Easter bunny knows boys because our boys got Flarp (for those of you who do not have the privilage to know what flarp is, it is a farting slime), they got Legos, frisbies, bubbles, chalk, water guns, slime, super hero tatoos, cool pencils, glow sticks, a shirt, other little toys and tons and tons of candy.

We went over to my parents house for dinner and invited Ed's parents over, his dad is such a kid magnet
Especially Jackson, he even sat next to him at dinner telling him all these stories.

It has been almost a year exactaly since our last family photo
and we figured since we looked ok we might as well.

And we had to do a fun one too

Easter With Star Wars

So Saturday we went to Wheeler Farms Easter Festival and met up with the Star Wars group the Alpine Garrison. We had so much fun meeting all the people and characters and helping out with their booth.

It wasn't all about the Star Wars guys, they had bounce houses and tons of
booths with different things, like cotton candy, books, little game booths,
an Easter egg hunt and of course the animals.

Easter Eggs

Today we decided to color Easter eggs since there was no school. I accidently dropped 2 when I took them out of the pot to cool, but we had alot more we were able to color, and Cannon even colored one.

No Running

So Logan has this habit of running in the house especially up and down the hallway and it is really annoying. So I had a talk with Logan and told him he was not to run in the house any more. Me being an adult and a parent thought I had done a good job with our talk, and then sunday we went to my parents and I learned better.

Me: Logan no running.

Logan:.....( no response and he did it again).

Me: Logan James NO RUNNING!

Logan: I'm not running mom I am power walking.

I have no idea where he came up with that one.

Goodbye Jewish Family

So today the only Jews I have ever met and probably will ever meet went back home to Jersey. I will miss them. Anywho on Sunday my parents had a little get together for them to say goodbye and here are some of the pics. My dad even got a cake that said Good luck Borenstien Family, only there name is spelled wrong not by much just the i and e mixed up, but when they came over they teased saying he should have just put good luck jewish family. The day did progress and I even made a Jello salad since its a Utah thing, lol.
