The Sunset City Days

For the 25th we went to the Sunset City days festival with the Alpine Garrison. One of the memebers happens to be a fireman for sunset so we got to ride on their firetruck's in the parade, some in costume some not. Logan and Hunter were thrilled they got to ride on the top of the fire truck.
After the parade we came back to the fire station and set up our booth (so to say), and we raised money for Toys for Tots.

after our booth was done we all hung out for a while and played an interesting dice game called greed. a little bit later James ( the fireman) took us on a tour of the fireworks. He showed us how they light them and how far they go up it was so cool. He also saved a special spot for us inside the yellow tape, we were total VIP's for this event. I have never ever enjoyed a firework show like I did this one. I was looking straight up in the air to see the fireworks we were so close to them. It was a wonderful event.

Not sure what this meant but he had fun up there
Logan was happy because he road on the same firetruck as his girlfriend,

We had to get a good pic of our characters on the fire truck!

So this 24th my dad and a few of his neighbors decided to have a block party. They got a bunch of grills and had a pot luck dinner followed by fireworks. It was so much fun to be a part of that such great company and friendship. It was a blast.

All of the grills in the circle.

24th Floats

So every 24th they have a float preview at the Expo center and Logan and I have gone we love it. Logan especially liked this years because they had a Monsters VS Aliens float and they had a float that had his mustang car on it, not his but one that looks like his.
Logans Fav. Monsters Vs Aliens
Very cool
I thought this one would be his favorite because he wouldn't stop looking at it. The wheels on
the car moved along with the train he loved it.
He loved the moving wheels and it was a train!
The lady who ran this float let Logan climb on it and do his best wave.
The same mustang Logan has

After we looked at the floats we stood in the longest lines to get a tatoo of a
dragon and a balloon laser gun.

Ruby

As many of you know we inhertited a new dog. Her name is Ruby and she is a Longhaired Chiuaua. She is a funny little dog who follows me around everywhere and likes to tease our other dog Jack. And as Ed would say we have a killer in our home Jack Ruby.
Anyhow here is Ruby

The fourth

This year for the 4th we did like we normally do hang out at my parents and watch fireworks with all the neighbors. Even Jordan was in town for this year. We had a really nice bbq at my parents and when we were done eating and when it got dark enough we went outside and watched fireworks. We even had some really fun ones if you get what I mean, wink wink!

Waiting for the show to start
